Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Are your batteries "Grade A"?

A:  This is a confusing topic for many people and one of the most common questions we get. Grading from the cell manufacturer (commonly known as ranking) is not a quality grading. There are many sites online that say Grade A is new, Grade B is secondary quality, and Grade C are recycled/refurbished. That's somewhat true in the grand scheme of things, but it has nothing to do with the voltage rank of the cell. The grading stamped on the cell itself (in some cases) or the carton of cells is a voltage grading/ranking and not one of quality. This is a very common misunderstanding as voltage Rank A is the same quality as Rank B or Rank C, D, E, F, G, H, etc.

Cells are ranked/graded and grouped by matching internal resistance. Cells which are grouped/ranked together match each other and are meant to be used together in a battery pack as using cells which do not match can cause performance problems in the pack. Essentially, this grading/ranking is to tell pack assemblers which cells to use together. All cells we supply are new and will meet the specification set by the respective manufacturer, regardless of ranking. One rank is not necessarily better than another. And yes while Rank A cells will have marginally lower internal resistance than Grade B or other grade, in most applications there will be no noticeable difference in performance without exhaustive testing. So please do not worry if you receive a cell rank other than "A".

If you need all cells in your order to match in rank, we are more than happy to oblige this request - just leave a note for us during the checkout process or call/email one of our representatives before placing your order.

Q: Are your batteries genuine?

A: Yes, absolutely. This is our promise and guarantee to our customers and clientele. Our price may not always be the lowest, but we guarantee the cells to be 100% genuine.

Q: Why is there a label on the battery I received?

A: We often import battery shipments via air freight. The sticker, which discloses the voltage and capacity of the cell, is required by IATA safety regulations as well as US Customs. Because OEM cells do not have this information printed on the cell by the manufacturer, it is added by the exporter for shipping compliance. Sometimes this sticker will cover the OEM information - if you peel it off, you will see the OEM printing below. Sometimes the glue on the sticker will degrade or pull off some of the printed ink- this is quite normal. Rest assured the cell is authentic, this sticker is only used for international air shipping compliance.

Q: What is the best battery?

A: This is a very subjective question and it depends on what your needs and usage are.

Q: How can your prices be so low?
